The world on a plate is a small festival introducing food from different cultures to the residents and visitors of Zagreb. The Festival is in the city center in Europe square and is held from August 28 till September 6. Sunday was dedicated to India where the main Indian food was served by the only Indian restaurant in Zagreb, Royal India, with the famous Indian Samosa, Mango Lassi and other delicious spicy dishes.
The chance to have a henna tatto by Gayatri Mondal an Indian artist resident in Zagreb. prices varied between 5 to 25 kn depending on the design needed.
Children had their opportunity to enjoy the food, draw and share in competitions. Then the Indian dance by two passionate Croatian ladies who seemed to be fans of the Indina culture. The Dance was followed by a screening of the Indian movie "The Lunchbox". This was just one day in the festival which continues with other countries.
